How do I install SysAid on Mac OS X?

The Mac agent is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5.

In order to install the SysAid agent on a MAC OS X, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Download SysAid Agent for Macintosh OS X.
  2. Locate the recently downloaded .pkg file and double-click it to install and deploy the agent. Once done, the SysAid icon will appear in the top right corner.
  3. To apply the account’s settings, go to Finder > Applications > SysAid Settings. Click the SysAid Agent icon to configure it:
    • Enter your Server URL, Account ID, and serial key. These details can be found on the Downloads page in SysAid.
    • If you are using a proxy or an RDS, enter the proxy or RDS information.
    • Select the desired log level and Save. SysAid will now validate the information.
  4. Once the validation is complete, the SysAid daemon will start running, and your inventory information will be updated. You will also be able to access the Self Service Portal with the SysAid Agent icon.
