SysAid is hiring an Automation Engineer – Student Position to contribute to test automation and software quality. This entry-level role focuses on developing automated tests, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and working with modern testing frameworks.The position involves hands-on experience in automation development, collaboration with engineers, and exposure to real-world software testing processes. It offers an opportunity to build technical skills while working with cutting-edge tools in a dynamic tech environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and API testing.
• Assist in building and improving test automation frameworks.
• Work with developers to enhance testability and ensure code quality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and support resolution efforts.
• Learn and apply software testing best practices in an Agile environment.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (up to one year remaining).
• Familiarity with the syntax of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript (from coursework, self-learning, or projects).
• Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and work independently.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have (Not Required, but a Plus!):
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, WebdriverIO, Cypress) from coursework or personal projects.
• Understanding of basic testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or CI/CD pipelines.
